Western Visayas (Region VI): Panay 5D/4N Detailed Travel Itinerary with Expenses

Iloilo → Capiz → Aklan → Antique → Iloilo
(November 16 to 20, 2018)

Note: You can still get into Guimaras with this 5D/4N itinerary but in our case, we were not able to cross Guimaras because it was already Signal No. 1. When we got home, all provinces above were declared Signal No. 1 as well, due to Typhoon Samuel.

If you plan to cross Guimaras, just go to Ortiz Wharf. Just pay Php 30.00 for a round-trip boat fee. You can do this itinerary way cheaper because of foods and airfare promo fare, but land and boat transportation fees were all fixed. Enjoy! 💖

Highlights:
  • Islas de Gigantes, Iloilo
  • Sta. Monica Church, Capiz
  • Boracay, Aklan
  • Kawa Bath, Antique
  • Garinfarm, Iloilo

Round-trip ticket via Air Asia for two pax: Php5,318.00
Booked on June 21, 2018 (not a seat sale)

My husband and I doesn't have the same work schedule, so promo fares do not matter for us. What matters most was to be able to plan our schedule ahead of time, that should be, looking through the remaining days of the calendar to see which of his rest days would collide with mine.

Flight Details:
Manila to Iloilo | November 16, 2018 | 1:50 PM to 3:00 PM
Iloilo to Manila | November 20, 2018 | 4:05 PM to 5:15 PM

November 16 | Day 1: Cavite to Manila to Iloilo

07:40 to 07:55: Cab to get outside our subdivision. Php16.00
07:55 to 08:40: Waiting for our Company shuttle at pick-up point…
08:40 to 09:30: Company shuttle going to Bicutan (FREE).
My husband was working at night shift so I had to fetch him. 💖
09:30 to 10:15: Breakfast, then meeting my husband. Php20.00
10:15 to 10:45: Waiting for taxi…
10:45 to 11:30: Taxi to MIAA Terminal 4. Php200.00
                       Plus Skyway tollgate. Php107.00
11:30 to 12:00: Lunch at Jollibee (outside MIAA). Php240.00
12:00 to 14:00: Baggage X-rays… Check-in… Waiting boarding…

Warning! Someone picked my husband's bag after the first X-ray. His bag contains his phone, wallet, IDs, our pocket WiFi and other personal things. My cell phone was still connected to the WiFi and I could see that it was still near to us. What my husband had for exchange was also a bag who had the same appearance with his, minus the key chain. That made us think that my husband's bag was only picked out of mistake.

We asked assistance from the MIAA guards and they were the ones who opened the bag that didn't belong to us. We learned that the one who picked my husband's bag was a South African guy based on his passport and boarding pass. Luckily, we were able to track him and got what really belonged to my husband. I told the foreigner that he should pay extra attention next time, before getting what he thought was his.
14:00 to 15:30: Flight MLA-ILO via Air Asia (just 30 minutes delayed from the plan).
15:30 to 16:30: Taxi to Casa Tentay. Php325.00
16:30 to 17:30: Checked in at Casa Tentay, then we took a rest for a while. Php1,212.44

This was pre-booked and paid via Agoda. We enjoyed our stay here though it looked creepy from the outside. It actually looked like a haunted house at night, but don't worry, there was no ghost inside. I didn't upload pictures so see it for yourself. 😊

Image 1.1 My actual review of Casa Tentay in Agoda website
17:30 to 18:00: Walked to Jaro Cathedral. We lit candles and pray together. Php12.00

Behind us were the stairs on the facade of the Cathedral leading to the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Candles.

21:00               Lights off for me. 😊

We felt like we were scammed here because when we reached the New Beach Hotel, the guy receptionist told us that the tricycle fee from Bancal Port to the hotel should be Php30.00 only. Anyway, Php150.00 was not that big amount.

16:45 to 19:00: Check-in at New Beach Hotel.

us inside the tower. 😞 Php300.00
